As
I look back over my life I realize - the dreams I had, the
plans I made... the Happily Ever After I wanted....I did not
get ... It's easy to say...My life did not go as planned...and
that's ok. Born in Virginia, I moved with my family to Florida
in 1978 - leaving behind a group of friends I had known since
kindergarten - only to regain what was lost - by being blessed
with an amazing group of friends here in the sunshine state
for the past 35 + years. My life was up - down and sideways.
Involving some good and some not-so -good people in my life...
I was given the precious gift of being Andrew's mom, and that
is something I have cherished. My life was hard, difficult
and at times I was (and sometimes still am) totally stretched.
But I would not change a thing. Everything that happened to
me - happened for a reason- and those road blocks and pot
holes along my journey made me the person I am today...
In Jeremiah 29:11 it says:
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,
plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give
you hope and a future".
God has a plan for each and
every one of us.... I'm sure you have heard it said "if
you want to make God laugh - make a plan" and that is
so true. When we can relax - let go of the proverbial steering
wheel and let God do the driving - it is then that we can
fully know His Joy, His Peace and His Will for our lives.
Isaiah
55:8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither
are your ways my ways," declares the Lord.
